SOLUTION -

We are solving this by elimination method .

Subtract both the equation.

2x - 3y = 9

2x + y = 13

_____________

\:\:-\:\:-\:=\:-\:

_____________

\:\:\:-4y\:=\:-4

_____________

-4y = -4

y = 1

Substitute y = 1 in equation 1

2x - 3(1) = 9

2x = 9 + 3

2x = 12

x = 6

x = 6 and y = 1
