2x²-4x+3=0
here a=2 b=-4 c=3

discriminant=Δ=b²-4ac
Δ=(-4)²-4(2)(3)
Δ=16-8(3)
Δ=16-24
Δ=-8

hence,the value of the discriminant is
 - 8
