Step-by-step explanation:

2x+4y=6................(1)

5x-2y=3.................(2)

now from equation 1

2x+3y=6

or 2x=6-3y

so x=6-3y/2...............3

now put the value of x in eq. 2

5(6-3y/2)-2y=3

or 30-15y/2-2y=3

or 30-15y-4y/2=3

or30-15y-4y=6

or. -19y=6-30

or-19y=-24

so y=25/19

from eq 3

x=6-3(25/19)/2

or x=6-75/19/2

=6-150/19=144-150/19=-6/19
