x=4-2y

Therefore,putting value of x
5(4-2y)=12+6y
20-10y=12+6y
20-12=6y+10y
8=16y
8/16=y

Therefore, x=4-2(1/2)
x=4-1
x=3

=> x=3&y=1/2
