Answer:

2x+4y=8 ~1⃣

5x+6y=12 ~2⃣

taking eq. 1

2x+4y=8

2x=8-4y

x=(8-4y)/2 ~3⃣

putting value of eq.3 in eq. 2 , we get,

5{(8-4y)/2}+6y=12

10(8-4y)+6y=12

80-40y+6y=12

80-34y=12

-34y=12-80

-34y=-68 (cancelling out both minus)

34y=68

y=68/34

y=2

put value of y in eq.1, we get

2x+4y=8

2x+4(2)=8

2x+8=8

2x=8-8

2x=0

x=0/2

x=0

hope it helps

have a nice day ahead :-)
