$2x + 4y - 8xy - 1$

2x +4y - 8xy - 1

= 2x - 8xy + 4y - 1

= 2x ( 1 - 4y) - 1( 1 - 4y)

= ( 1 - 4y) (2x - 1)

2x- 8xy+4y-1 = 0

2x(1 - 4y) -1(1 - 4y) = 0

(2x - 1)(1 - 4y) = 0

x = 1/2

y = 1/4
