Solve the linear equation.

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 2x + \frac{2}{3} = \frac{5}{2} - x$

Solution :

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 2x + \frac{2}{3} = \frac{5}{2} - x$

$\red\bigstar$Transposing -x to L.H.S. and it will become positive x.

$\pink\bigstar$ Transposing ⅔ to R.H.S. and it will become negative i.e. -⅔

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 2x +x = \frac{5}{2} - \frac{2}{3}$

Taking L.C.M.

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x = \frac{5 \times 3}{2 \times 3} - \frac{2 \times 2}{3 \times 2}$

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x = \frac{15}{6} - \frac{4}{6}$

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x = \frac{15 - 4}{6}$

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x = \frac{11}{6}$

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: x = \frac{11}{6} \div 3$

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: x = \frac{11}{6} \times \frac{1}{3}$

$\displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: x = \frac{11 \times 1}{6 \times 3}$
