Question :

Solve the linear equation.

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 2x +  \frac{2}{3}  =  \frac{5}{2}  - x

Solution :

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 2x +  \frac{2}{3}  =  \frac{5}{2}  - x

\red\bigstarTransposing -x to L.H.S. and it will become positive x.

\pink\bigstar Transposing to R.H.S. and it will become negative i.e. -

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 2x +x  =  \frac{5}{2}   -  \frac{2}{3}

Taking L.C.M.

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x =  \frac{5 \times 3}{2 \times 3}   -  \frac{2 \times 2}{3 \times 2}

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x =  \frac{15}{6}   -  \frac{4}{6}

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x =  \frac{15 - 4}{6}

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: 3x =  \frac{11}{6}

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: x =  \frac{11}{6}    \div 3

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: x =  \frac{11}{6}     \times  \frac{1}{3}

 \displaystyle \longrightarrow \sf \: x =  \frac{11 \times 1}{6 \times 3}

 \pink{ \displaystyle \longrightarrow  \boxed{\bf \: x =  \frac{11}{18}  } \:  \bigstar}

Hence, value of x is 11/18.
