Given : (2x-5)/(3x-1)=(2x-1)/(3x+2)

To Find :  Solve for x

Solution:

(2x-5)/(3x-1)=(2x-1)/(3x+2)

Cross multiply

=> (2x - 5) ( 3x + 2) = (2x - 1) (3x - 1)

=> 2x(3x + 2) - 5(3x + 2)  = 2x  (3x - 1)   - 1(3x - 1)

=> 6x²  + 4x  - 15x - 10  = 6x²  - 2x  - 3x + 1

=>  -11x - 10  = -5x  + 1

=>  6x  = - 11

=> x = - 11/6

Step-by-step explanation:

(2x-5)/(3x-1)=(2x-1)/(3x+2)

Cross multiply

=> (2x - 5) (3x + 2) = (2x - 1) (3x - 1) => 6x² + 4x - 15x - 10 = 6x² - 2x - 3x + 1 => x = - 11/6

=> 2x(3x + 2) - 5(3x + 2) = 2x (3x - 1)-1(3x - 1)

=> -11x - 10 = -5x + 1

=> 6x=-11
