Hii friend,
2X + 5 = 5Y
2X -5Y = -5-----------(1)
And,
3(2X + Y) = 24-X
6X + 3Y = 24-X
6X + X + 3Y = 24
7X + 3Y = 24-------------(2)
From equation (1) we get,
2X - 5Y = -5
2X = -5+5Y
X = -5+5Y/2--------------(3)
Putting the value of X in equation (2)
7X + 3Y = 24
7 × (-5+5Y/2) + 3Y = 24
-35 + 35Y /2 + 3Y = 24
-35+35Y + 6Y = 24 × 2
41Y -35 = 48
41Y = 48+35
41Y = 83
Y = 83/41
Putting the value of Y in equation (3)
X = -5+5Y/2 = -5 + 83/41/2 = -205 + 83/41/2
X = -122/41/2 => -122/41 × 1/2 = -61/41
