Given that

2x - 5 < x + 1, x € N

⟹2x - x < 1 + 5

⟹x < 6........(1)

As given that x belongs to set of natural numbers and natural number starts from 1

so,

x \geqslant 1\: \: \: .......(2)

So, final set of x comes after intersection of both 1 and 2 as :-

2x - 5 &lt; x + 1 \\ 2x - x &lt; 1 + 5 \\ x &lt; 6

Also
