unknown7: check the calculations again i am weak at maths i am a bio student. Although the method is to get x terms on one side and the others on other side. And keep in mind the DMAS rule

23x =50-16-20+5-20-2+5
23x =60-16-20-2
23x =60-38
23x =22
x= 22/23

2x-5x+20x+20+2-5=50+2+5+6+5-3-20

x(2-5+20) +22-5 = 68-23
17x +17 = 45
17x = 45-17
17x =28
x=28/17
