As We need to find the value of x ,we need to have x alone at either LHS or R HS

  • {2x+5x= 7x}

  • Therefore 7x =70

  • We need to have x alone in the LHS ,this is possible by dividing both sides of the entire equation by 7.since dividing by 7 in the entire equation will not make any change!

  • Therefore 7x/7 = 70/7

  • Therefore x = 70/7 =10

  • The ans is x = 10 will satisfy the equation 2x + 5x = 70.

  • 2x + 5x = 70
  • taking x as common on LHS
  • x( 2+5 ) = 70
  • 7x = 70
  • x = 70 / 7
  • x= 10
