EXPLANATION.
Graph of the equation.
⇒ 2x + 5y = 1.- - - - - (1).
⇒ 2x + 3y = 3. - - - - - (2).
As we know that,
From equation (1), we get.
⇒ 2x + 5y = 1. - - - - - (1).
Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 2(0) + 5y = 1.
⇒ 5y = 1.
⇒ y = 1/5.
⇒ y = 0.2.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,0.2).
Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 2x + 5(0) = 1.
⇒ 2x = 1.
⇒ x = 1/2.
⇒ x = 0.5.
Their Co-ordinates = (0.5,0).
From equation (2), we get.
⇒ 2x + 3y = 3. - - - - - (2).
Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 2(0) + 3y = 3.
⇒ 3y = 3.
⇒ y = 1.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,1).
Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 2x + 3(0) = 3.
⇒ 2x = 3.
⇒ x = 3/2.
⇒ x = 1.5.
Their Co-ordinates = (1.5,0).
Both curves intersects at a point = (3,-1).
