2x-5y=23 and 3x+y=9 solve in elimination method

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-5y=23. eq1

3x+y=9. eq2

Now,

(eq1×3)-(eq2×2)

(6x-15y)=69

-(6x+2y)=18

=>-17y=51

=>y=-3

substituting in eq2,

3x-3=9

x=4

hence,x=4,y=-3
