6x - 16y = 10.....(From equation 2) -----(4)

∴By subtracting equation 4 from 3 we get,

y = 2.

Then by substituting y = 2 in equation 1 we get,

2x - 5(2) = 4

∴2x - 10 = 4

∴2x = 4 + 10

∴2x = 14

∴x = \frac{14}{2}

x = 7

x=7 and y=2 is the solution of the given simultaneous equations
