2x+6/5= 5x-8 means 2x+6 = 25x-40
taking x as one side and numerical digits at another side and we get 25x-2x= 40+6 so 23x = 46 means x= 46/23= 2

Answer:

2x + 6 \div 5 = 5x - 8 \\ 2x + 6 = 5(5x - 8) \\ 2x + 6 = 25x - 40 \\ 6 + 40 = 25x - 2x \\ 46 = 23x \\ x = 46 \div 23 \\ x = 2

Hope it helps you...
