The solution of the equation is \frac{1}{2} or 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Quadratic equation 2x^2-3x+1

To find : Solve the equation using splitting the middle term ?

Solution :

Quadratic equation 2x^2-3x+1=0

Solving by middle term split i.e. write middle term as a multiple of first and last term and addition of middle term.

2x^2-2x-x+1=0

2x(x-1)-1(x-1)=0

(2x-1)(x-1)=0

Either 2x-1=0 or x-1=0

Either x=\frac{1}{2}  or x=1

Therefore, the solution of the equation is \frac{1}{2} or 1.
