2 {x}^{2}  + 7x + 5 = 0

2 {x}^{2}  + 5x + 2x + 5 = 0

2 {x}^{2}  + 2x + 5x + 5 = 0

2x(x + 1) + 5(x + 1)

(2x + 5)(x + 1)

x =  -  \frac{5}{2}  \: and \: x =  - 1
