12x + x-y = 12

13x - y = 12 ......(i)

x - (2x+y)/3 =1

3x - (2x +y) =3

x-y=3 ........(ii)

now (i) - (ii)

13x-y-x+y=12-3

12x=9

x=(3/4)

y=x-3

y=(3/4)-3

y=(-9/4)

x=3/4

y=-9/4
