2x + (x-y)/6 =2

12x + x-y = 12

13x - y = 12 ......(i)

x - (2x+y)/3 =1

3x - (2x +y) =3

x-y=3 ........(ii)

now (i) - (ii)

13x-y-x+y=12-3

12x=9

x=(3/4)

y=x-3

y=(3/4)-3

y=(-9/4)

x=3/4

y=-9/4

Answer:

After solving the equations, we get x = 3 / 4 and y = -9 / 4.

Step-by-step explanation:

2 x + ( x - y ) / 6 = 2

12 x + x - y = 12

13 x - y = 12 ......(i)

x - ( 2 x + y ) / 3 = 1

3 x - ( 2 x + y ) = 3

x - y = 3 ........(ii)

Now, subtracting (ii) from (i)

13 x - y - x + y = 12 - 3

12 x = 9

x = ( 3 / 4 )

y = x - 3

y = ( 3 / 4 ) - 3

y = ( -9 / 4 )

We get:

x = 3 / 4

y = - 9 / 4

Therefore, after solving the equations, we get x = 3 / 4 and y = -9 / 4.
