Step-by-step explanation:

2x-y=1

2x=1+y

x=1+y/2------1equation

substitute the value of x in 2nd equation.

5x+2y=25

5(1+y/2)+2y=25

5+5y/2+2y=25

multiply both sides with 2

5+5y+4y=50

9y=45

y=5

substitute value of y in any equation

I am choosing eq1

2x-5=1

2x=6

x=3

therefore x=3 and y=5

Hope it helps you....
