Answer:x = 3 and y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose,

2x + y = 10 ...... (i) no equation

3x + 4y = 25 ......(ii) no equation

After multiplying (i) no equation with 4 and the (ii) no equation with 1 we get :

8x + 4y = 40

3x + 4y = 25

(i) no equation - (ii) no equation:

8x - 3x = 40 - 25 = 15

or, 5x = 15

or, x = 3

as, 2x + y = 10

or, y = 10 - 2x = 10 - 2(3) = 10 - 6 = 4

ans : (x,y) = (3,4)

Note: Here we multiply the both equation to ensure that after doing so we can eradicate one variable from the case by doing a adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing between these two equation. After eradicating one, we can easily get another variables value. Then by replacing the value in one of those equations we can get the value of the another variable
