Heya... ☺

Using substitution method --

y = 19 -2x

Substituting the value of y in 2nd equation

2x - 3 (19-2x) = -3
2x - 57 + 6x = -3
8x -57 = -3
8x = -3+57
x = 54/8

Therefore ,
y = 19- 2 × 54/8
y = 19-54/4

y = {36-54} ÷ 4
y = -18/4

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+y=19 ......... (1)

2x-3y=3 ..........(2)

subtract equations 2 from 1

2x+y=19

- 2x-3y=3

- + - sin got Change of eq 2

= 4y=16

y=16/4=4

y=4

substitute value of y In eq 1

2x+y=19

2x+4=19

2x=19-4=15

x=15/2=7.5

x=7.5 or 15/2

and

y=4
