2x + y= 33......first equation

4x -y =19.......second equation

sum of both equation,we get :

6x = 52

x = 52 /6 = 26 / 3 = 8.666= 8.67
then
put the value of x in first equation,

2 * 26 / 3 + y = 33

y = 33 - 52 /3 = 99-52 /3 = 47/ 3 = 15. 666= 15.67

hope it helps u.

2x+y=33-------( 1 )

4x-y=19----------( 2 )

Add both the equations together. We 'll get:

6x=52

x=52/6=8.66

Substitute the value of x in any one of the equation I put it in the 1st one.

2x+y=33

2×8.66+y=33

y=33-17.32

y=15.68

Value of x=8.66 ; y=15.68

Hope it helps.....
