2x−y=4 ...... (i)

This line meet at x−axis, then the value of y=0 at x axis

Put the value y=0 in equation (i), we get

2x−0=4

⇒2x=4

⇒x=2

This line meet y-axis, then the value of x=0

Put the value x=0 in equation (i), we get

2×0−y=4

⇒−y=4

⇒y=−4

Thus, the equation meets x axis at (2,0) and y axis at (0,−4).
