Solution

On adding them,

2x+y = 5..….(i)

3x-y = 5……(ii)

x = 2

Now putting the value of x in (i)

⟹2x + y = 5

⟹2(2) +y = 5

⟹4 + y = 5

⟹y = 1

we get the value of x = 2 , y = 1
