 \: Here  \: we \:  have,  2x+y=5→(1)

 \: 3x+2y=8→(2)

 \: Let  \: Multiply eqn (1) by  \: 2.

 \: So, 4x+2y=10

 \: 4x+2y=8

 ________________

 \: x=2

 \: In  \: the eqn (1), put x=2,4+y=5

So, x=1

(x,y)=(2,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + y = 5

I. put x = 1 in equation

2 × 1 + y = 5

2 + y = 5

y = 5 - 2

y = 3

ii. put x = 2

2 \times 2  \:   + y = 5  \\

4  + y = 5

y = 5 - 4

y = 1

3x + 2y = 8

put \: x = 3 \: in \: equation

3 \times 3  + 2y = 8

6 + 2y = 8

2y = 8 - 6

y =  \frac{2}{2}

y = 1
