2x-y=5, x+y=4. solve this by elimination method​

Let,

2x-y=5 - - - - i

x+y=4--------ii

Eliminating eqn i with ii we get

i*1----2x-y=5 ------iii

ii*1---x+y=4-------iv

iii-iv---x=1

Putting x=1 in equation ii we get

1+y=4

y=4-1

y=3
