3x+y = 14
5x=20
x= 4

2x-y=6
2(4)-y=6
8-y=6
y=2

Given equations are :
2x - y = 6 ........(1.)
3x + y = 14 ......(2.)

solution:-
Adding equations (1.) and (2.)
we get

   2x  -  y  =   6 
+ 3x  + y  = 14
----------------------
    5x  + 0 =  20
----------------------

=> 5x = 20 

=> x = 20 / 5 = 4 

putting x in equation (1.) 
we get
2
×4 - y = 6 

=> 8 - y = 6 

=> -y = 6 - 8 

=> -y = - 2

=> y = 2 


Hence ,
x = 4 and y = 2 Answer
