2x + y + 8 = 4x - y \\ = 2x - 2y = 8 \\ = x - y = 4......(1) \\ now \: another \: eq \: is \\ x + 4 = 2y \\ = x - 2y = - 4.....(2) \\ by \: subtracting \: eq \: second \: from \: first \: eq \\ - y + 2y = 4 + 4 \\ y = 8 \\ if \: y \: = \: 8then \\ x = 4 + 8 = 12 \\ thus \: x = 12 \\ y = 8
