2x^2-10x+12=0

2(x^2-5x+6)=0

x^2-5x+6=0

x^2-3x-2x+6=0

x(x-3)-2(x-3)=0

(x-3)(x-2)=0

x=3

x=2

Given:

2x2-10x+12=0

To Find:

Factors

Solution:

2 {x}^{2}  - 10x + 12 = 0

Dividing the equation by 2,

 {x}^{2}  - 5x + 6 = 0

Sum of the factors should be -5 and their products should be 6.

The numbers satisfying this are -3 and -2.

-3-2 = -(3+2) = 5

(-3)×(-2) = 6

Thus,

(x-3)(x-2) = 0

x-3=0, x=3

x-2=0, x= 2

The values of x are 3 and 2 and the factors are (x-3) and (x-2).
