2x^2 - 12x + 18 = 0

=> x^2 - 6x + 9 = 0

=> x^2 - 3x - 3x + 9 = 0

=> x ( x - 3) - 3(x - 3) = 0

=> (x - 3)(x - 3) = 0

x = 3 and 3

HEY MATE ..……
HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.……
2 {x}^{2}  - 12x + 18 = 0 \\ 2 {x}^{2}  - 12x = 0 - 18 \\ 2 {x}^{2}  - 12x =  - 18 \\  {x}^{2}  - 12x \:  \:   =  \frac{ - 18}{2}  \\  {x}^{2}  - 12x \:  \:  =  - 9 \\ x  \:\: \: - 12x  \:  =  \sqrt{ - 9}  \\ 11x =  - 3 \\ x  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{ - 3}{11}
