Question:-

2x² + 5√3x + 16 = 0 Find discriminant.

Given:-

  • 2x² + 5√3x + 16 = 0

To Find:-

  • Roots.

Solution:-

On comparing with ax² + bx + c = 0.

Here,

  • a = 2.
  • b = 5√3.
  • c = 16.

Discriminant, D = b² 4ac.

D = (5√3)² 4(2) (16) = 75 128

D = 53.

Since, D < 0 so given equation has no real roots.

Answer:-

{ \boxed{\tt \color{cyan} Hence, \:  no  \: real \:  roots \:  for  \: 2x² + 5√3x + 16 = 0.}}

Hope you have satisfied.
