At first we add the expression terms

2x²y+5(xy²+3)-(15+2x²y)

=2x²y+5xy²+15-15-2x²y

=5xy²

therefore 5xy² is a mononomial expression because it is a expression who has one term

but 2x²y+5(xy²+3)-(15+2x²y) is a polynomial because it is a expression who has many terms

if there are two terms then it is a bionomial

and when there are three terms then it is called a trinomial.

there are four types of algebraic expression

they are :-

1) monomial

2) bionomial

3) trinomial

4) polynomial
