1. If Rani is playing a game cards with her friends from the deck of cards. Find the
probability of Rani getting queen.​

In a deck of cards, the total no. of cards is 52. The no. of cards are divided into 4 types:

$\rm{52 \: cards \begin{cases}13 \: \rm{diamond} \\ 13 \: \rm{hearts} \\ 13 \: \rm{clubs} \\ 13 \: \rm{spades} \end{cases}}$

From each section, we will get 1 queen. So, Total no. of chances of getting a queen from the deck of cards is 4.

Probability is calculated by No. of outcomes of that event / No. of possible outcomes. Then,

Finding the probability of getting queen:

⇒ P(Queen) = 4 / 52

⇒ P(Queen) = 1 / 13 or 0.0769230769...

Thus, the probability of getting a queen from the deck of cards is 1/13.
