hello mate!.....

given ...... \\  \\ 2x {}^{2}  - 7x + 3 = 0 \\  \\ 2x {}^{2}  - 6x - x + 3 = 0 \\  \\ 2x(x - 3) - 1(x - 3) = 0 \\  \\ (2x - 1)(x - 3) = 0 \\  \\ 2x - 1 = 0 \:  \: and \: x - 3 = 0 \\  \\ x =  \frac{1}{2}  \: and \: 3 \\  \\ hope \: it \: helps \: u

 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

This the the completing the square method:

.

2x² - 7x + 3 = 0

Divide by 2 through:

x² - 7/2 x + 3/2 = 0

Subtract 3/2 to both sides:

x² - 7/2 x = - 3/2

Add (b/2)² to both sides:

x² - 7/2 x + (7/4)² = - 3/2 + (7/4)²

Complete the square:

(x - 7/4)² = 25/16

Square root both sides:

x - 7/4 = ± 5/4

Add 7/4 to both sides:

x = 5/4 + 7/4 or x = -5/4 + 7/4

Evaluate RHS:

x = 3 or x = 1/2

.............................................................................................

Answer: x = 3 or x = 1/2

 \textbf {Cheers}
