Solution :

Compare 2x²-7x+3 = 0 with

ax²+bx+c=0 , we get

a = 2 , b = -7 , c = 3

Discreminant (D)=b²-4ac

= (-7)² - 4×2×3

= 49 - 24

= 25

Quadratic formula :

x = [-b± √D]/(2a)

= [-(-7)±√25]/(2×2)

= ( 7 ± 5 )/5

Therefore ,

x = (7+5)/2 or x = (7-5)/2

=> x = 12/2 or x = 2/2

=> x = 6 or x = 1
