 {(2y + 3)}^{2}  = 81 \\ or \:  \:  {(2y + 3)}^{2}   -  {9}^{2}  = 0 \\ or \:  \: (2y + 12)(2y - 6) = 0 \\ or \:  \: (y + 6)(y - 3) = 0

So, either y = -6 or y = 3.
