To solve : [ 3\frac{1}{4} \div [1\frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{2} (2\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{6})]]

Solution:-

  • To solve the above equation we will follow BODMAS rule.
  • It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.
  • where,

                 \begin{array}{l} \\B = brackets \\\mathrm{O}=\text { order of powers or rules } \\\mathrm{D}=\text { Division } \\\mathrm{M}=\text { multiplication } \\\mathrm{A}=\text { addition } \\\mathrm{S}=\text { subtraction }\end{array}

  • According to above rule we will solve [ 3\frac{1}{4} \div [1\frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{2} (2\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{6})]]

         [3\frac{1}{4} \div[1\frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{2} ( 2\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1 )}{6})]] \\= [\frac{13}{4}\div[\frac{5}{4}-\frac{1}{2} ( \frac{5}{2} - \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{6})]] \\= [\frac{13}{4}   \div[\frac{5}{4} -\frac{1}{2}( \frac{30-3 - 2}{12})]] \\= [\frac{13}{4}\div[ \frac{5}{4}-\frac{1}{2}(\frac{25}{12})]] \\= [\frac{13}{4} \div[\frac{5-2}{4}(\frac{25}{12})]]\\= [\frac{13}{4}\div  \frac{25}{16}] \\= \frac{13}{4}\times \frac{16}{25} \\= \frac{13\times 4}{25} \\\\= \frac{52}{25} \\= 2.08

Hence , on simplification we get 2.08 as answer.
