 \frac{3 + 1}{3}  +  \frac{1 + 1}{4}  \\  =  \frac{4}{3}  +  \frac{2}{4}  \\  =  \frac{4}{3}  +  \frac{1}{2}  \\  =  \frac{8 + 3}{6}  =  \frac{11}{6}
