GIVEN EQUATION :-

2(3x + 2) = 4(5 – x).

SOLUTION :-

⇒ 2(3x + 2) = 4(5 – x).

⇒ 6x + 4 = 20 – 4x.

⇒ 6x + 4x = 20 – 4.

⇒ 10x = 16.

⇒ x = 16/10.

⇒ x = 1.6

VERIFICATION :-

⇒ 2(3x + 2) = 4(5 – x).

⇒ 2(3(1.6) + 2) = 4(5 – 1.6)

⇒ 2(4.8 + 2) = 4(3.4)

⇒ 2(6.8) = 13.6

⇒ 13.6 = 13.6

LHS = RHS.

Hence, Verified.
