nth term of the arith-metic sequence = a + (n-1)d

Step-by-step explanation:

There are MANY ways on finding the general rule or nth term of a given sequence. As I go through this topic. I learned that different sequences can be solve by/using. 2Arithmetic Sequence . 3.Geometric Sequence

I realized that when finding the nth term of a sequence that can't be easily determined by inspection we need to find its 4. Common Ratio  and/or Common differences.

nth term of the arithmetic sequence = a + (n-1)d

a = first term

n = number of term

d = common difference

Mean of n terms of arithmetic sequence = (1st term + nth term )/2

the arithmetic means of arithmetic sequence

= Middle term if total terms are odds

= Mean of middle two terms  if  total terms are odd

We can make series like this if we know mean & number of term

......., a - d , a , a + d ........   odd number of terms  and a is mean

......... a-3d , a - d , a + d  , a + 3d ........even number of terms  and a is mean
