3/2+7/4+5/8. please ans me step by step instructions

3/2 + 7/4 + 5/8
12/8 + 14/8 + 5/8
12+14+5/8
31/8
= 3.877 or 3 7/8

Steps

First we take the same denominator of all the same fractions. the numerator is multiplied by the same number the denominator is being multiplied with. 

Then we add up all the numerators while taking the denominator common.

In the end we divide the numerator by the denominator.

=) 3/2+7/4+5/8 =??

=) So here we can't add directly all the given numbers for that the numerator must be same.

hence,

=) 3/2*4/4+ 7/4*2/2 + 5/8*1/1

=) 12/8 + 14/8 + 5/8

=) 12+14+5/8

=) 31/8

or this can be written in decimal as

=) 3.87..(approximately)
