Cyclones are characterised by low pressure at centre and anti-clockwise circulation in north hemisphere whereas anticyclones are systems with high pressure at the centre diverging air outside and clockwise circulations in north hemisphere.
b)based on longevity
Cyclones are short lived whereas anticyclones maintain them for longer period.
c)based on weather
Cyclones brings with them strong downpour/rain affecting only small areas whereas anticyclones being frontal systems affects the temperature humidity and other conditions and brings only small rains for small time the area they affect, they affect larger areas.
