Answer:

=>3/2 (x - 4) = 1/4 (3x + 1)

cross multiply

=> 12(x-4)=2(3x+1)

=> 12x-48=6x+2

 \frac{3}{2} (x - 4) =  \frac{1}{4} (3x + 1) \\  \frac{3x - 12}{2}  =  \frac{3x + 1}{4}  \\ 4(3x - 12) = 2(3x + 1) \\ 12x - 48 = 6x + 2 \\ 12x - 6x = 2 + 48 \\ 6x = 50 \\ x =  \frac{50}{6}  =  \frac{25}{3}
