A train initially at rest accelerates at a constant rate x
for time t, and then decelerates at a constant rate y for
the remaining time. If the total time of its journey is t
seconds, then find in terms of t, x and y
(i) the maximum velocity attained

similarly, 0=V-yt2
from the above equations
t1=v/x & t2=v/y
t1+t2 = v/x+v/y =t
