6x-3+25/100of x=97
6x+1/4ofx=97+3
24x+x/4=100. (using LCM)
25x/4=100
100×4/25
4×4=16

 \textbf{Solution :}

3(2x - 1) + 25\% \: of \: x = 97 \\ \\ = > 3(2x - 1) + \frac{25}{100} \times x = 97 \\ \\ = > 6x -3 + \frac{x}{4} = 97 \\ \\ = > \frac{24x - 12 + x}{4} = 97\\ \\ = > 25x - 12 = 388 \\ \\ = > 25x = 400 \\ \\ = > x = \frac{400}{25} \\ \\ = > x = 16

 \textbf{Note :} While transposing a number from one side to another, the sign gets changed.

i.e.

( + ) becomes ( - )

( - ) becomes ( + )

( × ) becomes ( ÷ )

( ÷ ) becomes ( × )
