To find : value of x

Given :  3.2x + \frac{1}{3} = \frac{7}{2}

Solution :

  • To solve the above equation we will follow BODMAS rule.
  • It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.
  • where,

                 \begin{array}{l} \\B= brackets \\\mathrm{O}=\text { order of powers or rules } \\\mathrm{D}=\text { Division } \\\mathrm{M}=\text { multiplication } \\\mathrm{A}=\text { addition } \\\mathrm{S}=\text { subtraction }\end{array}

  • According to above rule we will solve .

        3.2x + \frac{1}{3} = \frac{7}{2}\\\\3.2x=\frac{7}{2} -\frac{1}{3}  \\3.2x =\frac{21-2}{6} \\ \\3.2x=\frac{19}{6} \\x = \frac{3.16}{3.2} \\x = 0.98

Hence , value of x is 0.98 .
