Answer:

we can do this in any method. ill do it in substitution method.

 \frac{3}{2} x + 5y = 650  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (1)\\ 2x + 7y = 880 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   (2)

from (2) we get

2x=880-7y

x =  \frac{880- 7y}{2}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (3)

substituting (3) in (1) we get

 \frac{3}{2} ( \frac{880 - 7y}{2}) + 5y = 650  \\  =  \frac{2640 - 21y}{4} +  \frac{5y}{1}   = 650 \\  =  \frac{2640 - 21y + 20y}{4}  = 650 \\  = 2640 - y = 2600 \\  =  - y =  - 40 \\ y = 40

substituting the'y' value in equation (2) we get

2x + 7(40) = 880 \\  = 2x =880 - 280 \\x =   \frac{600}{2}  = 300

the values of 'x' and 'y' are 300 and 40 respectively.
