Answer:

(i) Let the number be x

By the given condition,

252 = (x × 35)/100 = (x × 7)/20

∴ x = (252 × 20)/7 = 36 × 20 = 720

Hence reqd. number = 720

(ii) Let the number be x

By the given condition,

315 = (x × 14)/100

∴ x = (315 × 100)/14 = (45 × 100)/2 = 45 × 50 = 2250

Answer:

let \: the \: number \: be \: x \\  \\  \frac{35}{100}  \times x = 252 \\  \\ x = 252 \div  \frac{35}{100} \\   \\ x = 252 \times  \frac{100}{35}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{25200}{35}  \\  \\ x = 720 \\  \\

25\% \: of \: 720 \\  =   \frac{25}{100}  \times 720 \\   \\  =  \frac{25}{10}  \times 72 \\  \\  =  \frac{5}{2}  \times 72 \\  \\  =  \frac{5}{1}  \times 36 \\  \\  = 5 \times 36 \\    \\  = 180
